Events 1 and 2

The Duratus S&C Summer League is upon us! Here are the down and dirty deeeeets.
Where:
Duratus S&C - 711 N Helena St. Spokane, Washington 99202
When:
5:30-5:45 p.m. - Plan to arrive sometime between.
5:45 p.m. - Athlete briefing.
*Please ensure that at least one member of your team is in attendance for the briefing. We would obviously prefer all team members attend but we realize that some teammates will be rolling in from work and other responsibilities.
6:00 - Event 1, Heat 1 Start
6:30 - Event 1, Heat 2 Start
6:55 - Event 2, Heat 1 Start
7:15 - Event 2, Heat 2 Start
7:25 - Score tallying and clean up

Event 1 - "Duathlon Relay"
For time-
P1: 800-meter run & 2k bike
P2: 200-meter run & 1k bike
P3: 600-meter run & 1k bike
P4: 400-meter run & 2k bike
(20-minute cap)
*At the start of the clock partner 1 will begin their 800-meter run. After they have finished their run and bike, partner 2 will begin their work. The workout will continue as a relay until complete or the time cap is reached. Partners capped on the bike will immediately stop peddling and roll over meters will count towards their score. Partners capped on the run will have their spots marked in order to keep an accurate scoring system. Partners may not begin their run until the full distance of the previous bike is complete.
Event 2 - "Heavy Thrust"
With a 10-minute clock establish a 1 rep max thruster.
*Teams will start with their barbell on the floor and stripped of all weights. At the beginning of the clock teams will work towards a heavy 1 rep max thruster for each teammate. At no point may the attempted barbell weight be reduced. Once a weight has been attempted by one partner that weight or a heavier weight must be attempted for the duration of the event.
*The thruster will be taken from the floor. The bar can only be racked by the partner attempting the weight. Squat cleans are a permissible start. The athlete's feet must remain in full contact with the ground from the initiation of the rep attempt until completion or failure. The thruster must be complete in one fluid motion: no stopping to re-dip in the bottom of the squat or press, no jerking under the bar.
*The cumulative total of each team members heaviest attempt will be the teams score.
