1. Verto Challenge Celebration

Over the last 3 months a group of people (38 to be exact) have been on a journey to transform their lives through physical fitness and intentional eating.  The Dūrātus staff is meeting on Thursday evening to choose the winners of the competition.  Thursday evening,May 4th, at 6pm we will be announcing the winners and having a celebration for all Verto Participants and any members at the gym that want to come and support.  We are hoping to have some light fair, but bring your own dinner if you are planning to eat big.

2. Regionals

As many of you know - CrossFit Dūrātus qualified a team this year to compete in the CrossFit West Regional.  For all who are not familiar, this is a significant achievement that the entire gym has a hand in accomplishing.  All member are not only invited, but encouraged to attend and cheer on the team.  The Competition is May 29-31 at the Tacoma Dome.  I believe we still have a few rooms blocked off at a nearby hotel if you are interested attending.

3. Champions Cup: Summer Exercise League

Yep, its happening again.  Begin to prepare.  Similar to last year, “randomly” assigned teams will compete one evening a week for 6 weeks.  This is an open league for any and all that want to participate.  Workouts will be achievable for every level of athlete.  We are making a few minor changes, which we believe will create a better competition for all!  Stay tuned for more details.

4. Two Year Anniversary “Camping" Trip...#duratusgoescamping

In early August we will be celebrating the 2nd year of CrossFit Dūrātus and we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than with a camping trip!  August 8-9 we will be hosting a CFD camp out on the Pend Oreille River for all members and significant others (sorry, no kids).  Mom and Dad Longmeier have once again generously offered their cabin (see pictures below) to be used for the event.

There is not enough indoor sleeping for all, but there is plenty of yard, deck, and dock - so plan to bring a tent or sleeping bags.  The pertinent details are below:

When: arrive anytime 9am or later on August 8th - plan to leave August 9th in the afternoon.

How far is it?: around a 1 hour drive from north Spokane

Food:  You will be in charge of your own lunches and snacks.  Bring a side dish to share for Saturday nights' dinner.  We will provide the meat.  We will be making eggs, bacon, fruit for Sunday's breakfast.

Drinks: bring whatever you will want to drink (we will provide the coffee).

What to bring: clothes for a day around the water, warmer clothes for the evening/night around the fire.  Bring sleeping bag, sleeping pad, pillow, and towel, toiletries, etc.

Questions/RSVP: by sending an email through the form below.  Be sure to let us know number of people attending.

Looking forward to fun spring and summer with the Dūrātus community!
